Job Title: Lead Backend Developer
Position Overview:
As a Lead Backend Developer at Marmeto, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side solutions for high-performing web applications. You will collaborate closely with frontend teams, project managers, and stakeholders to drive scalable and reliable backend architectures. This role demands a strong technical leader who can mentor team members, enforce best practices, and deliver quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Lead code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and share technical insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Architect and develop server-side components using modern backend technologies like Node.js
- Write high-quality, reusable, and testable code, adhering to industry standards.
- Optimize application performance for scalability and reliability
Years of Experience- 5-8 years
Mandatory:
- Minimum5yearsofexperience in backend development, with at least 3 years in Node.js
- Proven experience leading a team of at least 10 developers, ensuring productivity and alignment with organizational goals.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and micro services architecture.
- Proficiency in working with databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Essential:
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Proven experience in system design and scalable architecture.
Good to have:
- Experience with GraphQL and related technologies.
- Knowledge of frontend frameworks like React for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, or related e-commerce technologies is a plus
