Job Title: QA Lead

Position Overview:

As a QA Lead at Marmeto, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire QA process, ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality. You will lead a team of QA engineers, work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, improve our testing processes, and drive continuous improvement in software quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth.
  • Coordinate and manage the daily activities of the QA team, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and design specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as developers, designers, and project managers, to understand system requirements and provide comprehensive test coverage.
  • Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure the quality of the software.
  • Ensure that defects are properly identified, documented, and tracked using issue tracking tools such as JIRA or Monday
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 4 year of experience in software and website quality assurance and testing.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a QA team consisting of at least 10 members.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Understanding of security testing principles and tools.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs ) for the role :

 

  • Team Performance: Ensure that the QA team meets or exceeds established performance metrics, including test coverage, defect detection rate, and defect resolution time.
  • Test Coverage: Achieve and maintain a high level of test coverage, ensuring that all critical areas of the application are tested.
  •  Stakeholder Feedback: Number of escalations related to testing issues
  •  Process Improvement Initiatives: Number of process improvements identified and implemented. ( Automation testing vs manual testing %)
