If you’ve watched Shark Tank India or even heard of it, you probably already know of Nasher Miles.
The name in itself is a story waiting to be discovered. The Persian word “Nasher Kardan,” meaning “to publish,” merges with “Miles,” capturing every step of a traveler’s journey. Thus is born the perfect travel companion with products ranging from hard-shell luggage to travel accessories and customizable tags.
Our journey with Nasher Miles goes back a few years, cemented on tech solutions that support and help transform their commerce journey from the beginning.
“We realized that the platform we were previously using was not helping us scale. With our requirements from the platform expected to change in the near future, we realized we needed a more flexible solution. More importantly, we wanted a platform that could be integrated quickly with solutions that did not need custom coding. We narrowed down on Shopify as our platform for its evolved ecosystem, and our first choice was Marmeto because we know Marmeto can be our long-term partner.”
-Abhishek Daga, Founder & Chairman @ Nasher Miles
While our journey with Nasher Miles first started in the form of migration, we slowly delved into other tech aspects that proved to be a great success for their store. Here’s how it went down.
Nasher Miles was gearing up for a feature on Shark Tank India and knew their ecommerce platform wasn’t up for the challenge. Their existing setup was not scalable, which meant that every visitor, order, and shipment was at risk the moment the episode aired. Migration was the difference between capitalizing on the opportunity and watching it slip away.
Note: When we say a platform lacks scalability, we mean the platform struggled with high traffic, slow performance, crashes, limited order handling, poor third-party integration and lack of automation in inventory, payments, adding to inefficiencies. As the businesses grow, these issues lead to lost sales, frustrated customers, and rising costs.
Our work was cut out for us from the start. The challenges to solve were:
“The decision to work with Marmeto stems purely from their understanding of our requirements and the commitment to get it done. We were up against a tight deadline, and while many hesitated, Marmeto stepped up without hesitation. They truly became our partners, proactively offering solutions and acing the store experience we were hoping to achieve.”
-Abhishek Daga, Founder & Chairman @ Nasher Miles
Shopify Plus was the obvious solution, but the real challenge?
A 30-day migration deadline and implementing the right tech solutions. While many shied away from the challenge, we knew we could not only deliver but ace it. The complex process meant:
-
Migrating thousands of SKUs
-
Reconfiguring backend logic
-
Ensuring third-party integrations worked without a hitch
-
Preserving historical customer data,
-
Optimizing for high-traffic performance.
-
Ensuring smooth ERP integration for inventory management.
-
Testing payment gateways, checkout flows, and every critical touchpoint to avoid any downtime.
The clock was ticking, and there was no room for error.
“Migration being the most important. The speed and skills displayed here truly blew us away. They've also helped us implement many other solutions that overall improve the functionality and user experience. If you head to our store, you'll see the amazing experience we've curated for our customers with Marmeto's help.”

Stage 1:
At Marmeto, we don’t believe in surface-level fixes. That’s why we break our process into structured stages designed to address specific challenges, optimize performance, and ensure seamless execution.
1. Platform Migration & Performance Optimization
Migration to Shopify Plus required building custom integrations that Shopify didn’t natively support. This included ERP (Vinculum), third-party logistics, and inventory management. We had to ensure that the transition was smooth, had zero downtime, delivered high-speed performance, and created a great seamless user experience even during peak conditions.
2. Smart Product Display & Navigation
As a multi-category brand, Nasher Miles needed a solution to display products without overwhelming customers. Enter a version of our custom solution, Product As a Variant, wherein, different sizes and colors were unified not only on the collection page but also on each product page. Customers could browse every variant without having to navigate different pages, all while being on the same product page. This helped simplify navigation, work towards quicker decision-making on the customer’s end, and improve the overall experience of the store.
3. Personalized Luggage Customization
We introduced a customization feature for luggage tags wherein customers could add their name to the tags and the same name would show up on the cart page as well. This real-time customization ensured an interactive shopping experience while keeping the backend structured for easy fulfillment.
4. Retail Visibility & Store Locator
Nasher Miles knew D2C was not their only avenue prompting them to align with Zepto and offline retail stores. Simply shipping products off to retail stores was not going to cut it. The retailers needed better visibility which is where our Retail Visibility solution comes in. By inputting a specific pincode, our solution shows the closest retail store with their number and directions in case a customer would like to see a product in real-time and purchase it. This pin code-based solution helped bridge the gap between online and offline sales. We also developed critical analytical pointers wherein Nasher Miles could understand the number of clicks, store choices, and more to predict offline inventory needs and plan their operations in a better manner.
“We had high expectations from Marmeto, knowing they had a solid structure in place. But once we started working with them, we truly experienced the depth of their expertise. Their process gave us a clearer perspective on the project, ensuring every detail was well thought out. A special mention to Praveen, who was incredibly supportive throughout, making the entire journey seamless and reassuring.”

Stage 2: Rebranding
Once the store went live, we sat back and enjoyed the superb success of their show and the love their products garnered from the customers. Next in line came a complete store rebrand. Migration with a few powerful tech solutions was just the beginning, we knew we had to redefine Nasher Miles as the only travel companion customers would want.
Stage 3: Accelerator Program
The third stage in our project with Nasher Miles was a dedicated Merchant Accelerator Program before one of their campaigns. Nasher Miles had inventory they wanted to liquidate and while their previous campaigns were performing well, they needed this campaign to be pushed up a notch.
In came our MAP, wherein we did a deep dive into the existing store experience, operations, shipping, returns and every avenue one can think of. With our research, we suggested powerful tech changes under but not limited to the following categories:
-
Visual Enhancements for Higher Engagement
-
Optimizing Product Discovery & Purchase Flow
-
Creating Urgency & Conversion Triggers
These optimizations worked wonders for the store, driving the highest single-day order volume during the campaign. While the regular daily average stood at 117 orders, MAP interventions skyrocketed to 370 in just one day.
The highlight of this activity; the orders at 370 stopped purely because Nasher Miles completely sold out their inventory. Had this not happened, the store sales would have skyrocketed even further.
“Sales are soaring, our customer experience has reached new heights, and our store has never looked better. Business is thriving, and every step feels more seamless than ever. When we had our soft launch on television, we knew we were on the right path—but Marmeto took that success and turned it into something even greater.”
