Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products and systems.
• Execute various types of tests, including functional, regression, and performance testing, to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as developers, designers, and project managers, to understand system requirements and provide comprehensive test coverage.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work closely with the development team to resolve issues, improve product quality, and ensure timely delivery.
• Create and maintain test data, test environments, and test scripts to support efficient and effective testing activities.
• Utilize both manual and automated testing approaches, leveraging appropriate tools and frameworks, to streamline the testing process.
• Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies in software testing and quality assurance, and proactively apply them to enhance our testing practices.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their growth and development in the field of quality assurance.
• Actively participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure seamless integration of quality assurance practices.
• Continuously contribute to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools, promoting efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a QA analyst or tester, with a strong focus on software testing and quality assurance.
• Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium).
• Experience in eCommerce platforms, particularly Shopify, is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in an agile development environment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, while maintaining a high level of quality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership capabilities, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
